Gülşin Ketenci’s main focus is photographing women in society. She works as a documentary photographer for NarPhotos, out of Turkey, and is also a member of Women Photograph and The Journal Collective. Even though she studied Mathematical Engineering in college, she has dedicated herself to photography since 2004. The more time she has spent in it, the more she’s strived to portray the roles of women against the background of their context. Her subjects include women in politics, sports, work unions, socially female ascribed jobs, and demonstrations. Ketenci’s pictures show what should be obvious, but still needs to be said: women’s humanity is a main driving force for the human race.
