Lázaro Olier is a poet from Paraná, Argentina, who finds different visual mediums to materialise his intentions. He is profoundly romantic, and his work is at the same time overflowing with romanticism and depicting it with subtlety. Olier creates figures that are very low in contrast and have a foggy definition, giving them a lot of gentleness, but never losing character. He is also a researcher currently finishing a PhD on Art, and employs some of that knowledge in manufacturing acrylics out of makeup, which he then puts on paper to write on negative space. He’s had multiple exhibitions in Argentina with these works. Another way in which he experiments is with digital mediums, such as WiFi signals and Spotify playlists.
