Being from the southeast of Oaxaca, Nelson Morales has a unique cultural heritage that has shaped his photography. The stories he tells through his camera are personal tales, intimate depictions of gender, sexuality, and the embodiment of being Mexican. At the heart of each frame is raw humanity, colored with elements of fantasy. The honesty of his work has gotten him published in a multitude of magazines. His artwork of the Muxes and gender identity has earned him several awards and has been exhibited all around the world, particularly in Mexico and the USA.
