Kilómetro Cero 2025 Micro-International Residency for Ecological Artistic Research Samaipata, Bolivia
KIOSKO Gallery, a project of the Raquel Schwartz de Vargas Foundation (FRSV), is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social transformation through art, fostering creative and critical thinking.
Km0 TIERRA 2025 is a micro-international residency focused on ecological artistic research in Samaipata, Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It invites contemporary creators and artists to engage with the territory, raising awareness of the ecological impact of artistic practices and exploring contemporary regenerative possibilities.
The connection to the land serves as the guiding thread of this participatory and interdisciplinary space, where participants exchange knowledge with archaeologists, biologists, anthropologists, local artists, the community, and the more-than-human entities.
Km0 TIERRA 2025 is a relational and research-based gathering. The interrelations among participants, the community, researchers, the landscape, flora, and fauna will be documented through various media such as audio recordings, images, drawings, videos, or writing.
A record of ecological artistic practices describing materials and methods will be included in the Future Materials Bank database. This includes a digital catalog, mediation formats, and dissemination tools (podcast).
